We regret that due to lack of sign ups, we are canceling the 2018 NL 300. To date there are only 13 teams signed up. We will be fully refunding your entry fee. We are sorry, especially for those needing a qualifier, but we cannot financially pull of a remote race with only 13 entry fees. Please let us know if you intend to run the 150. If so, we will refund $200.

We are still running the 150 with some modifications. The race will only run if we have 15 teams signed up by January 8. $200 entry fee.

Start: Saturday, January 27 at Happy Trails Kennels (HTK).
Vet checks at 8:00 am
Drivers’ meeting at 10:00am
Race starts at noon

The route will be a 75 mile loop out of HTK and back. There will be a mandatory 6 hour layover at HTK.
You will be required to have a handler for race start, to take any dropped dogs during layover and to clean up all straw and litter after the race.
If you are using this race as a qualifier you may not receive any assistance during the race and you will not have access to your dog truck, so you must have your “food drop” and any supplies needed out of your truck and in your spot before you take off.
The race will supply one bale of straw. The bales this year are ⅓ longer than usual so you should have enough to camp and bed dogs at HTK.
Hot water is available at HTK
No Heet will be provided.
Minimum of 8 dogs at start/maximum 12.
The start will be a mass start unless conditions are not ideal, then 2 minute intervals.
All other rules addressed in NL 150 rules apply.

Sadly, the 300 is cancelled, but the 150 is still on.
