Angie Taggart came to Alaska from Idaho in 1980 when her parents got a job in Ketchikan. She works as a musher and a substitute teacher. Her previous race experience includes the 2009 Knik 200 (red lantern award), 2009 Taiga 300 (4th), 2011 Iditarod (43rd), 2011 Don Bowers 200, and the 2011 Copper Basin 300.
