Luan Marques

Luan Marques came to Alaska from Brazil and began mushing with Vern Halter’s Dream a Dream Kennels in 2011 to train for the 2013 Iditarod, for which he has qualified and will be running. His occupation is dog trainer and owner of El Curto Cuidad Pet Shop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Luan’s previous race experience includes the 2012 Knik 200, 2012 Northern Lights 300, and the 2012 Yukon Quest 300. He lists his hobbies as hiking and horsebackriding.
