Travis Beals, a tour guide at Turning Heads Kennel, ran his first race at 4 years of age, and his previous race experience includes 2nd place at the 2009 Jr. Iditarod, 19th place and the Humanitarian Award in the 2010 Tustmena 200, 6th place in the 2010 Taiga 300, 18th place in the 2010 Denali Doubles, and 3rd place in the 2012 Northern Lights 300. Travis lists his hobbies as fishing, running, and hunting.
