Mackey’s Top Notch Racing Kennel has been a steady presence on the Alaskan racing circuit, and Jason, who’s been mushing “from the age of 6 or so, as far back as I can remember,” has raced the Iditarod, Yukon Quest, Copper Basin 300, Tustamenta 200, Alaska Excursions 120 and many other mid-distance races.
Jason and his wife Lisa, who live in Wasilla, have two sons, Patrick (21) and Jason (19). Jason lists his occupations as a dog musher and kennel owner, and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, berry picking, yardwork, gardening, backpacking and hanging out with family as much as possible.
